Getting Ready For Your Retreat!!!!

Here are some tips that I have come up with to help you.

First and most important - try to come prepared. Start right now and get your pictures organized. I only bring the pictures that I plan to crop and not a lot more. By doing this, you won't be so overwhelmed. If you want to complete many pages then I recommend you sort your pictures by groups, meaning which pictures you want to go on the same layout. Now choose your paper for background and/or mattes. Last choose your embellishments for that layout. Put these together and you can separate each layout by using Hefty Jumbo storage bags available at most grocery stores. If you keep a journal and are going to add contents to your layout, copy and enclose it. Also, if you are using a layout from a magazine, write down the page number and enclose it as well. I have found that by using this tip, I am ahead and all I have to do is crop my pictures and adhere them. Everything that you can do at home before you go will put you that much further ahead. I will provide cropping tools but I encourage you to bring your own. Waiting in line for someone else to finish using tools will cause delay. It is my goal to help you get as many pages completed as possible. More than anything at these retreats, you will leave inspired by the other guests as they will be inspired by you.

If you haven't been to one of my retreats before, then get ready for a great weekend!!!! There will be several "Make-N-Takes" and if there is a technique that you would like to learn, I will be happy to show you. There will be games and a contest. Everything is optional and if you just want to crop, that's all right....no pressure, just a good time doing whatever you want.

Here is a checklist of things to bring: Scrapbook supplies, camera, favorite snacks, $10.00 wrapped scrapbook gift (optional), comfortable clothes, toiletries, Tylenol/Advil (if prone to headaches), a good attitude.
